South Devon is home to a brilliant selection of arts and crafts attractions – many of them are indoors which make them particularly good for a rainy day! If you’re looking for an unusual souvenir to bring home from your trip, locations such as China Blue  in Totnes or The Paint Hub in Dawlish Warren allow you to make and paint your own pottery. Or, if you prefer to keep your hands clean why not visit the House of Marbles in Bovey Tracey where you can discover their glassworks and watch the artists at work.

Relaxing

Lots of the larger local hotels, and some of the smaller ones, have spa facilities on site where you can while away a few hours. The Palace Hotel and Redcliffe Hotel, both a short walk from St Weonards offer spa facilities. You can even enjoy a swim – or a cream tea to go with your blissful treatments!
