As you are probably aware, providing the numbers are still going in the right direction we are permitted to open from May 17th – a date we are really looking forward to!
Since we re-opened last year we have been using our Covid Risk Assessment to help us work out the best and safest way to operate at St Weonards. Over the past few weeks we have again revised the Risk Assessment to take in to account new guidance and policies. You can check out the Government guidance we are working under here: guidance for hospitality businesses.
We have revised our Cleaning and Operational Policy to the new guidance. The main change for our re-opening this year is that we are now required to collect contact details for every member of the party (over the age of 16). This will be done either using our check-in form or by having all members of the party use the Track and Trace QR code provided at the front door. We reserve the right to refuse entry to guests who are not willing to provide contact details.
The ultimate aim of our plan is to provide an environment where you can enjoy your holiday in safest way possible under the Government guidance.
- Check-in: Unless otherwise arranged we will take payment for your stay remotely on the day of arrival. Check-in times will be confirmed back to you so that only one group arrives at any one time. We will still offer you a cuppa on arrival but will have to remain at a social distance and wear face coverings.
- Breakfast: You will be offered our standard breakfast or an in-room bagged breakfast. If you choose our regular breakfast you will be given a specific time slot for your service (this enables us to offer a full breakfast to all rooms). Please be on time for breakfast – you will be shown to your table and asked to remain seated for the duration. You will be served tea/coffee and cereal/yoghurt and your order for cooked breakfast taken. If you choose a bagged breakfast we will agree contents and delivery time when you check-in.
- Public Areas: You will be asked to adhere to certain actions during your stay, you must wear a face covering in public areas except when seated in the breakfast room, giving way to other guests coming down the stairs before you go up, washing your hands frequently, using hand sanitizer as you enter the building and Breakfast Room.
- Bedrooms: Rooms will be thoroughly cleaned between stays with extra focus on cleaning and disinfecting contact surfaces such as light switches, taps etc. Rooms WILL NOT be cleaned during your stay, unless you are staying for more than 5 days. We will collect rubbish, cups to be washed and towels to be replaced should you need it, at midday each day.
We are asking guests NOT to travel should anyone in their party have Covid symptoms.. You will be asked to leave should you develop symptoms during your stay, providing it is safe to do so. If it proves not possible for you to return home and you have to self-isolate with us, unfortunately you will be liable for the additional cost of your accommodation, any extra meals that we supply to you and any costs associated with moving the guests who were due to stay in the room you are occupying.
We are looking forward to welcoming guests back and hope that we will see you soon!
